Business consulting that actually changes how you operate

We sit inside your business for weeks, not hours. We find the five or six decisions that are costing you money, fix the ones we can, and build you a plan for the rest. Based in Wales, working across the UK since 2011.

Four stages, no mystery

Every engagement follows the same structure. You know what happens next, who does it, and what it will cost before we start each stage.

1

Diagnostic week

We spend five working days inside your operation. We interview your team, review your management accounts from the past three years, and map your processes end to end. At the close of the week you receive a 12-page diagnostic report identifying the specific areas where profit is leaking or growth is stalling. There is no charge for this stage if you proceed to stage two.

2

Priority plan

Within ten days of the diagnostic, we deliver a ranked list of interventions. Each one includes estimated cost, expected financial impact, a timeline, and the internal owner responsible for delivery. We do not bury recommendations in 80-page slide decks. The plan is a working document, usually six to eight pages, designed to be read in one sitting.

3

Hands-on implementation

Our consultants work alongside your people to execute the top-priority items. This typically runs for four to six weeks. We handle supplier renegotiations, restructure reporting lines when needed, set up the dashboards your managers actually need, and train your team on new processes. We do not hand you a plan and leave.

4

Quarterly check-ins

For the twelve months after implementation, we run a half-day review each quarter. We compare actual results against the targets in the priority plan, flag anything drifting, and adjust. These sessions are included in the engagement fee.

What we do

Six practice areas. Each one staffed by consultants who have run businesses themselves, not just advised them.

Growth strategy

Market sizing, pricing analysis, and channel planning for businesses turning over between £500k and £20m. We build revenue models grounded in your actual pipeline data, not generic industry benchmarks.

Operational efficiency

Process mapping, bottleneck removal, and workflow redesign. A typical engagement cuts turnaround times by 20 to 35 percent within the first quarter. We focus on manufacturing, logistics, and professional-services firms.

Financial restructuring

Cash-flow repair, debt renegotiation, and cost-base reduction for businesses under pressure. We have guided 40+ companies through restructuring without entering formal insolvency proceedings.

Risk and compliance

Regulatory readiness assessments, internal-control design, and board-level risk reporting. Particularly relevant for firms in financial services, healthcare, and food production where regulatory exposure is high.

Mergers and acquisitions

Buy-side due diligence, post-merger integration planning, and vendor preparation for owner-managed businesses. We have supported 28 transactions with combined deal value over £90m since 2015.

Succession and exit planning

Ownership transition for family businesses and founder-led companies. We build a two-to-three-year exit roadmap covering valuation improvement, management buyout structuring, and tax-efficient transfer options.

Sectors we know well

Generalist advice rarely works. The problems a food manufacturer faces differ sharply from those of a tech startup. Our team is organised by sector so you work with consultants who understand your supply chain, your regulators, and your competitive landscape.

Over 80 percent of our engagements fall within these six areas:

  • Manufacturing and engineering
  • Professional services (legal, accounting, architecture)
  • Food and beverage production
  • Healthcare and social care
  • Technology and SaaS
  • Construction and property development

Common questions

Most engagements for businesses with turnover between £1m and £10m fall in the range of £12,000 to £35,000 for the full four-stage programme. We quote a fixed fee after the diagnostic week, so there are no surprise invoices. The diagnostic itself is free if you proceed.
We can usually begin a diagnostic within two weeks of the initial call. Implementation timelines depend on scope, but four to eight weeks is standard for most projects.
Yes. About 40 percent of our clients are based elsewhere in the UK. We travel to you for the diagnostic week and key implementation milestones. Quarterly reviews can be conducted remotely if that suits you better.
Our core client has between 10 and 250 employees and annual turnover of £500k to £20m. We occasionally work with larger organisations on specific projects, but the SME space is where we do our best work.
During the diagnostic week and implementation phase, yes. We believe you cannot understand a business from a laptop in a different city. Our consultants are embedded in your office or facility for the duration of those stages.
